The third part of Acker Record’s series of “villages and their fields”
presents a new excellent solo debut. Mollono.Bass is normally
known as a member of the Kombinat 100 quartett. On his new E.P.
he shows us the beautiful landscapes of “Linstow”. Releasing on
his own label all of Mollono.Bass’ tracks deliver finest timeless
winterly deepness combined with the necessary punch.

Das Label aus Wustrow hat es mal wieder geschafft und bringt drei Tracks,
die so tief in ihre Grooves gewachsen sind, dass sie mittendrin sogar mit
kleinen perkussiven Houseelementen im weiten Dub arbeiten können und
dabei irgendwie ganz überraschend klar wirken. “Beautiful Grey Day” ist
melodisch breiter, aber hat dennoch einen tragenden Bass und Groove, der
das Ganze nicht abgleiten lässt, und mit “Snow Flakes” gibt es als Bonus
noch einen dieser klingelnd leichten skizzenartig dahinwehenden Tracks,
die einen an das Wunder der ersten Detroitnächte erinnert.
